서울대학교 천문우주연구센터는 급격하게 발전하고 있는 다중신호천문학 및 전파간섭계와 같은 최첨단 연구 분야의 육성을 촉진하며 대한민국의 천문 연구를 선도하기 위하여 설립되었습니다. 그렇기에 다양한 분야의 전문성을 갖춘 교수, 전임 연구원, 학생 연구원이 한 곳에 모여 천문 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 개별 연구 분야에 집중하는 것이 아니라 다양한 분야의 전문성을 갖춘 우리나라의 천문인력들이 모여 천문학의 중요한 현안을 해결할 수 있는 토대를 마련하기 위해 지속적으로 노력하고 있습니다.
오는 8월 28일부터 30일까지 3일간 '제3회 우전 천문 워크샵'을 개최합니다. 워크샵은 서울대학교 평창캠퍼스에서 진행됩니다. 서울대학교 평창캠퍼스는 네 번째 KVN(Korean VLBI Network) 안테나가 설치되어 대한민국 전파천문학의 도약을 기대하는 공간입니다. 이 워크샵은 서울대학교 명예교수이신 우전(牛田) 윤홍식 선생님 발전기금의 지원을 받습니다. 참가를 희망하시는 분은 7월 31일까지 홈페이지를 통해 신청해 주시길 바랍니다. 워크숍에 대한 문의사항은 이정은 교수(lee.jeongeun@snu.ac.kr) 또는 전현욱 학생(jhw5023@snu.ac.kr)에게 문의하시기 바랍니다.

The Astronomy Research Center (ARC) at Seoul National University was established to understand the universe in multidisciplinary ways by bringing together researchers in Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Space Sciences on the SNU campus.
We will host the 3rd SNU ARC Woojeon Astronomy Workshop for three days from August 28 to 30. The workshop will be held at the Pyeongchang campus of Seoul National University. The Pyeongchang campus of Seoul National University is significant because it is the site of a new chapter in Korean astronomy, where the fourth antenna of the Korean VLBI Network (KVN) has been built. This workshop is supported by the H.S. Yun (Woojeon) Honorarium Fund, named after our professor emeritus at Seoul National University. 각 연구진 별 연구자 2인 발표 (전임연구원 혹은 학생 연구원 권유)
각 연구진 별로 두 번의 발표 (12분) + 질문과 토의 (6분)으로 구성.
Each group will have ~30 minutes for two presentations (12 minutes each) and Q&A session (6 minutes).
