SNU ARC 5th Woojeon Astronomy Workshop

1. 제 5회 우전 워크샵 개요:

서울대학교 천문우주연구센터는 한국 천문학 연구를 선도하기 위해 설립되었습니다. 다양한 분야에 전문성을 갖춘 교수, 전임 연구원, 학생 연구원들이 한 곳에 모여 천문학 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 개별 분야의 연구뿐만 아니라, 여러 분야의 전문성을 갖춘 학자가 모여 천문학의 중요한 문제를 함께 해결할 토대를 마련하고자 다양한 노력을 지속하고 있습니다.

제 5회 우전 천문 워크샵을 8월 18일-19일 양일간 개최합니다. 이번 워크샵은 서울대학교 평창캠퍼스에서 개최될 예정입니다. 이 워크샵은 서울대학교 명예교수이신 우전(牛田) 윤홍식 선생님의 발전기금 지원을 받습니다. 참석을 희망하시는 분은 7월 31일까지 홈페이지를 통해 신청해 주시기 바랍니다. 워크샵에 대해 궁금한 사항은 임범후(bumhoo7@snu.ac.kr)에게 문의하시기 바랍니다.

The Seoul National University Astronomy Research Center was established to lead astronomical research in Korea. Professors, full-time researchers, and student researchers with expertise in various fields have gathered in one place to conduct astronomical research. Not only focusing on individual research areas, we are continuously making efforts to prepare a foundation for solving important issues in astronomy by assembling scholars with expertise in various fields.

We will be hosting the 5th H.S. Yun Astronomy Workshop for two days from August 18th to 19th. The workshop will take place at the Pyeongchang Campus of Seoul National University. This workshop is supported by the H.S. Yun (Woojeon) Honorarium Fund, named after our emeritus professor at Seoul National University. 5. 프로그램 (Program): 서울대학교 천문우주연구센터를 구성하고 있는 연구진의 발표로 구성.

Presentation and discussion by research groups of SNU ARC

5.1. 발표 (Presentation):

• 각 연구진별 연구자 2인 발표 (권장사항: 전임교수 1인의 연구팀 연구소개 + 학생/포닥 연구원 1인)

• 각 연구진별로 2인의 발표 (12분) + 질문과 토의 (6분)으로 구성 예정.

• Each group will have ~30 minutes for two presentations (12 minutes each; 1 professor + 1 student/postdoc) and Q&A session (6 minutes).

5.2. 특별 세션: 포닥과 대학원생의 대화 (예정) / Special Session (TBA):

• 이번 워크샵에서는 대학원생과 포닥 사이의 소통의 장을 마련하고자 “포닥과의 대화” 세션을 계획 중에 있습니다. 포닥 연구원분들의 적극적인 참여를 부탁드립니다.

• We are planning a "Dialogue with Postdocs" session to provide a platform for communication between graduate students and postdocs. We highly encourage the active participation of postdoctoral researchers.

• 홈페이지 내 등록 페이지 이용

• 등록 시 참석 여부 및 발표 여부 표시

• 참석자에 한해 중식 및 만찬 제공 (향후 참석자 대상 식사 여부 별도 조사 예정)

• Using the registration page on the workshop webpage.

• Please indicate your attendance and whether you will be presenting when registering.

• We will provide lunch and a banquet for attendees (A separate survey regarding meals will be sent out later).
